Al-Baour Engages in Diplomatic Talks During Official Visit to Greece

Athens: Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, paid an official working visit to the Republic of Greece on Wednesday, leading a Libyan delegation of experts. During the visit, Al-Baour highlighted the importance of nurturing and advancing the historical relations between Libya and Greece, emphasizing the aspiration to enhance cooperation across various sectors to benefit both Libyan and Greek people.

According to Libyan News Agency, discussions during the meeting focused on regional and international issues of mutual interest. Both parties deliberated on strategies to address the ongoing illegal immigration crisis and exchanged perspectives on the demarcation of maritime borders and exclusive economic zones in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The discussions underscored the significance of direct dialogue and cooperation to achieve shared goals and bolster security, stability, and peace in the region. The meeting concluded with a luncheon hosted by Greek Foreign Minister George Kyriakos Gypsieska in honor of Taher Al-Baour and the Libyan delegation.
