Libya’s Presidential Council Member Hails Al-Ahly and Al-Hilal Match as Symbol of National Unity

Tripoli: Presidential Council member Abdullah Al-Lafi praised the sporting spectacle that brought together Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Hilal, stressing that it set an exemplary model of sportsmanship that transcends all affiliations.

According to Libyan News Agency, in a tweet congratulating Al-Ahly Tripoli on their well-deserved win in the Libyan Premier League this season, Al-Lafi highlighted that the match embodied the fact that sports are not just a competition for titles, but rather a bridge for national unity, a space to enhance mutual respect, and an opportunity to showcase a reconciled and strong Libya to the world.

The Presidential Council member emphasized that this high-level football competition sends a positive message about Libya, reflecting the extent of national cohesion and the sense of responsibility exhibited by the players and technical and administrative staff.
