Libyan Military Delegation Led by Major General Hamza Visits Turkey

Ankara: A Libyan military delegation headed by the Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Mahmoud Hamza, has commenced an official visit to Turkey, following an invitation from his Turkish counterpart. The visit marks an important step in bolstering military ties between the two nations.

According to Libyan News Agency, the delegation was officially received upon arrival in Ankara by the Chief of Staff of the Turkish Army, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Head of Military Intelligence. The presence of such high-ranking officials underscores the significance Turkey places on its military relationship with Libya.

During their visit, the Libyan delegation engaged in a session of Libyan-Turkish military talks, as reported by the official page of the General Staff of the Libyan Army. The discussions centered around improving security and military cooperation, with a specific focus on training programs, capacity building, and enhancing the competence of Libyan army personnel across various specialties

Further into the visit, Major General Mahmoud Hamza and his team conducted a field tour, exploring aircraft and drone manufacturing facilities. They also visited the Land Aviation Brigade, where they reviewed technical and technological experiences, facilitating an exchange of expertise between the Libyan and Turkish military institutions.
