Luanda:The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, underscored the importance of developing leadership capabilities and skills, upholding responsibility and professional ethics, while avoiding political wrangling. He emphasized that these elements are crucial for building a professional military institution capable of fulfilling its duties to protect the homeland and its citizens.
According to Libyan News Agency, General al-Namroush made these remarks during the third day of the Unified Cultural Week for the 2026 graduates of military academies and colleges. This event, organized by the Moral Guidance Department of the General Staff, is being held at the Naval Staff Headquarters theater under the theme: "Knowledge that Cements Doctrine; Awareness that Shapes Leadership." Notable attendees included the Chief of Naval Staff and the Director of the Moral Guidance Department.
General al-Namroush highlighted the significance of academic and cultural qualifications for graduating officers, emphasizing the reinforcement of national values and military doctrine, as well as a commitment to discipline and military order. He pointed out that these factors enhance the officers' readiness to undertake their tasks and responsibilities, each according to their specialization and position.
The General Staff stated that the Cultural Week, which runs until October 1st, is part of a broader plan to boost the moral and cultural development of graduates. The program features lectures, seminars, and workshops covering military, national, and intellectual topics, alongside efforts to hone leadership and discipline skills.
