Libyan Government Plans Awareness Campaign for Travelers

Tripoli: The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity is set to launch an awareness campaign aimed at Libyan travelers. The initiative seeks to address issues faced by citizens during their travels and enhance guidance for a safer travel experience.

According to Libyan News Agency, Major General Mahmoud Saeed, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs, held discussions with the Director of the General Administration of Ports Security and the Head of the Red Crescent Misrata Branch. The discussions focused on the challenges encountered by Libyan travelers and the need for intensified awareness efforts. The Undersecretary has directed preparations for a comprehensive campaign targeting all air, land, and sea ports, utilizing various media outlets and the Ministry’s official digital platforms.

The campaign will be a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Youth, the Libyan Red Crescent, and the General Movement of Scouts and Guides. A key component of the initiative will be a dialogue session to inform travelers of their rights and duties. The General Administration of Ports Security will play a crucial role in the campaign’s success through direct field and guidance activities.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated its commitment to safeguarding citizens and ensuring a secure travel environment. By raising awareness and providing essential guidance, the campaign aims to enhance the safety of Libyan travelers.
