Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity has urged for the bolstering of the Arab League’s capabilities to address future challenges. This call comes as the Ministry extends its congratulations to the General Secretariat of the Arab League and its member states on the 80th anniversary of the League’s founding.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry released a statement highlighting the necessity of advancing joint Arab initiatives and reinforcing the bonds among member states. The aim is to achieve progress for the Arab nation and elevate its status globally. The statement stressed the need for consolidated Arab solidarity and the enhancement of joint Arab efforts by refining the League’s mechanisms to effectively tackle regional and international challenges.
The Ministry’s statement also underscored the importance of unifying Arab visions and positions to strengthen the League’s ability to defend just Arab causes, particularly emphasizing the Palestinian cause. Furthermore, it called for the establishment of strategic partnerships that would enhance the League’s international standing, contributing to growth and prosperity for the region’s peoples and safeguarding the rights of future generations.
