Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity has condemned the recent attacks by the Houthi group on various areas within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The attacks targeted civilian and economic facilities, resulting in injuries to 73 civilians, including women and children.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement expressing strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi's actions. The statement underscored Libya's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its territory, ensure the safety of its citizens and residents, and preserve its resources.
The Ministry emphasized its categorical rejection of all forms of violence, highlighting that targeting civilian facilities and endangering civilian lives constitutes a violation of international law and international humanitarian law. It described the attacks as a dangerous escalation threatening the security and stability of Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, the Ministry reiterated its support for all international efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing security and stability in the region.
