Tripoli: The Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, has announced that the August salaries were disbursed through the newly implemented Unified Treasury Account System, covering 41% of public sector employees. This move is part of the broader digital transformation efforts aimed at modernizing the financial sector in Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Mabrouk detailed in a video statement on the Ministry of Finance’s official Facebook page that the new system has been successfully initiated. The system processed the August salaries after integrating basic data for a significant portion of the workforce. He further explained that the salary disbursement will occur through the Central Bank of Libya’s “Your Salary is Instant” system, which is designed to ensure efficiency and precision.

The Minister urged all state-funded administrative units to expedite the completion of their employees’ data using the designated electronic links. He highlighted the importance of this data completion in achieving the goals of the national project.

Al-Mabrouk emphasized the new system’s role within a larger strategy aimed at digital transformation in public finance. This strategy includes enhancing government financial management, as well as electronic payment and collection systems. The overarching goal is to reform public financial management, boost transparency, and increase the efficiency of financial operations in Libya.
