Cairo: The Libyan Ambassador to Egypt, Abdul Mutalib Thabet, held a significant meeting today with Mohamed Al-Abani, the Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the authority and similar institutions in Egypt, particularly in the realms of religious readings and educational initiatives, leveraging Egyptian expertise.
According to Libyan News Agency, Thabet expressed his commitment during the meeting, which took place at the Libyan delegation headquarters in Cairo. He assured Al-Abani of his readiness to offer comprehensive support and facilitate communication with relevant Egyptian institutions, aiming to bolster the success of their collaborative mission.
Al-Abani, on his part, lauded the Libyan embassy’s effective efforts in safeguarding the interests of Libyan citizens in Egypt and emphasized their role in elevating Libya’s standing within the country.
