Tripoli: Libyan Airlines has announced the successful completion of the first heavy maintenance of its kind in Libya for an Airbus A320 aircraft. The aircraft has passed its flight test and returned to operational service after all technical work was performed according to approved standards.
According to Libyan News Agency, the airline's engineers and technicians conducted the C7 check, a complex and demanding inspection, marking the first occurrence of such maintenance within Libya for this type of aircraft. This development represents a significant milestone for the Libyan civil aviation sector, as these checks were previously carried out abroad at costs exceeding two million US dollars.
The company highlighted that this achievement is a crucial component of its revitalization plan, which includes a strategic focus on localizing aircraft maintenance within Libya. This approach is expected to reduce operational costs, enhance reliance on national expertise, and ensure the sustainability of the airline's fleet.
