Belgrade: Libya has officially signed a contract to participate in Expo 2027 in Serbia. The signing ceremony took place at the Government of Serbia headquarters under the auspices of the Government of National Unity.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Libyan delegation was led by Essam Al-Awl, Chairman of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences and Chairman of the Libyan Pavilion Committee at Expo Belgrade 2027. The event saw the participation of the Libyan Ambassador to Serbia. The Serbian side was represented by Jagoda Lazarovic, Minister of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Commissioner General of Expo 2027, along with Danilo Jerinic, a representative of Expo 2027.
This agreement underscores Libya’s commitment to participating in this international event, aiming to showcase its economic, investment, and cultural potential. It also highlights the opportunities available for cooperation and partnership with participating countries and institutions.
The participation of Libya is intended to support Libyan-Serbian bilateral relations and enhance economic, trade, and cultural cooperation, thereby strengthening Libya’s presence in international forums.
