Libya Prepares to Host Fourth African-Turkish Partnership Summit

Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is holding a preparatory meeting to prepare for hosting the fourth African-Turkish Partnership Summit. The High Preparatory Committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened its first meeting today to lay the groundwork for Libya's hosting of this significant event.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taher Al-Baour, who highlighted the political and diplomatic significance of the summit as a critical milestone in the African-Turkish partnership. The meeting served as a platform to evaluate the outcomes of the Third Summit, which took place in Istanbul in 2021, and to discuss future development avenues for the partnership.

The committee reviewed the initial concept for the Preparatory Committee's work mechanism, covering political, substantive, and organizational aspects. There was a strong focus on the importance of early and systematic preparation, as well as collaboration with relevant national bodies and regional and international partners, to ensure the summit's success in both content and results.

Al-Baour emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts in the coming phase and working as a unified team to maximize the benefits for Libya from hosting this continental event.
