Djibouti: Libya has confirmed its readiness to host the upcoming Turkish-African Summit in 2026 during its participation in the Turkish-African Ministerial Conference held in Djibouti. The announcement was made by Taher Al-Baour, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, emphasizing Libya's commitment to facilitating the summit's success. According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Baour highlighted the significance of the Turkish-African partnership in achieving sustainable development across the African continent. During his address at the third Turkish-African Ministerial Conference, he underscored the importance of regional economic groups like the Arab Maghreb Union, which Libya currently chairs, in fostering regional cooperation and integration. Al-Baour expressed Libya's dedication to creating optimal conditions for the forthcoming summit, assuring that the nation is prepared to ensure its success. He also commended the African Union Commission's efforts to strengthen ties between Africa and Turkey. Additionally, he acknowledged the contributions of the President of the Republic of Mauritania, the current President of the African Union, and Moussa Faki, the Chairman of the African Union Commission. Taher Al-Baour's presence in Djibouti for the conference marks Libya's active engagement in reviewing and evaluating the mechanisms of cooperation between Africa and Turkey, reinforcing the country's role in regional diplomacy and international collaboration.
