Libya and Tunisia Emphasize Arab Unity in Support of Palestinian Independence

Cairo: Libya and Tunisia have reiterated the importance of Arab solidarity in supporting the Palestinian people, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state while rejecting any attempts at forced displacement. This reaffirmation of support was highlighted during a meeting between Libya’s GNU Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taher Al-Baour, and Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Al-Nafzi. The meeting took place on the sidelines of preparatory ministerial meetings for an emergency Arab Summit scheduled in Cairo.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions between the two ministers focused on strengthening fraternal relations and developing bilateral cooperation to achieve common interests. They also conducted consultations on the political situation, reviewing the latest regional and international developments, particularly concerning the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Gaza Strip. Both ministers underscored the necessity of intensified efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state, aligning with relevant international resolutions.
