Cairo: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met with the Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Mustafa, on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meetings for the emergency Arab Summit in Cairo.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussion centered on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, emphasizing the difficult humanitarian situation faced by the Palestinian people due to the ongoing war. The meeting highlighted the importance of providing urgent humanitarian aid and the continuous support from Libya, including the dispatch of medical convoys and a field hospital to aid the Palestinian people.
Al-Baour reiterated Libya’s steadfast support for Palestine, firmly rejecting any attempts to displace Palestinians from their lands and homes. Mohammed Mustafa expressed deep appreciation for Libya’s unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of ongoing coordination between the two countries at both regional and international levels to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people, pursue a ceasefire, and engage in reconstruction efforts.
