Cairo: Libya's representative to the League of Arab States, Abdulmutallab Thabit, who also serves as the acting head of the Libyan embassy in Cairo, recently held discussions with Egypt's Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Mohamed Abu Bakr. The meeting aimed at identifying ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between Libya and Egypt, focusing on issues of mutual interest.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting underscored the significance of ongoing coordination and consultation in the foreseeable future. Both parties discussed the development of cooperation mechanisms in a range of fields, including political, economic, and consular areas.
The dialogue further highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration within Arab forums, notably the League of Arab States, to enhance joint Arab efforts.
As the meeting concluded, both Libya and Egypt expressed a mutual desire to maintain close cooperation and expand on the positive outcomes achieved, aiming to benefit the interests of both nations and fortify their bilateral partnership.
