Juwaifi Engages with Greater Tripoli Mayors to Enhance Local Governance

Tripoli: The Minister of Local Government in the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Shafi Al-Juwaifi, convened with the mayors of the municipalities of Greater Tripoli, including Tripoli Center, Tajoura, Souq al-Jum’a, and others. The gathering aimed to assess the preparations for the annual forum of the Supreme Council for Local Administration. Nasr Al-Mahtout, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Local Administration, was also present.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on several key issues related to the organization and development of the local government sector. Discussions included following up on proposals submitted by the municipalities to enhance performance and improve the delivery of services to citizens.

Al-Juwaifi and the mayors deliberated on the significant challenges and obstacles facing their municipalities. They emphasized the need for practical and sustainable solutions to address these issues, thereby supporting municipal councils and elevating service levels in their areas.
