Tripoli: The Charg© d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Brent, affirmed his country's support for the National Oil Corporation (NOC) as a vital economic institution in Libya, stressing the need to protect its independence and technocratic integrity.
According to Libyan News Agency, this came during his meeting with the Chairman of the NOC Board of Directors, Masoud Suleiman, in Tripoli, in the presence of the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy, Inga Heming, as stated in a post on the embassy's X website.
Brent stated that the meeting reviewed the growing cooperation between Libya and US oil and gas companies, which strengthens Libya's energy sector and contributes to greater prosperity for the Libyan people.
