Marrakech – Italy’s Matteo Berrettini won, on Sunday, the 38th Grand Prix Hassan II, held from March 31 to April 7 on the courts of the Royal Tennis Club of Marrakech (RTCMA).

In the final, Matteo Berrettini (135th in the world) defeated the 37th edition’s titleholder, Spaniard Roberto Carballés Baena, by two sets to 0 (7-5, 6-2).

Berrettini emphasized that the first set had been difficult and hard-fought, in contrast to the second set, when he recognized the difficulty of playing against Roberto Carballés Baena, an experienced and very tough player.

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and organized by the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation (FRMT), the Grand Prix Hassan II, which has been played since 2016 on the RTCMA courts, is a true gathering of the world’s tennis superstars, offering an unforgettable experience to fans eager to witness the most intense exchanges on clay.
