This announcement was made following a phone conversation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry released a statement highlighting the discussion between Lavrov and Araghchi regarding the evolving situation in Syria. Both ministers emphasized their countries' commitment to aiding Syria in its efforts to counteract terrorist activities. They also underscored the importance of continued coordination among Iran, Russia, and Turkey as guarantor nations within the Astana peace process framework. During the call, Abbas Araghchi emphasized the necessity for Syria's neighboring countries to actively work against what he described as a perilous conspiracy in Syria, urging the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in addre ssing terrorism.
