Tripoli: The Planning, Finance, and Public Budget Committee of the House of Representatives convened on Tuesday with Khaled Shakshak, the Head of the Audit Bureau for the Western Region, to deliberate over the 2026 state general budget. The meeting took place at the Tripoli branch of the House of Representatives and was led by Committee Chairman Dr. Omar Tantoush.
According to Libyan News Agency, the session included participation from the Committee Rapporteur, Amer Omran, and committee members Salem Qanan, Abdulwahab Zouliya, and Fahmi Al-Tawati, alongside several department directors from the Audit Bureau. The discussions centered around the import budget, the role of public companies in contributing to the state treasury, and the establishment of a mechanism for cooperation and coordination between the House of Representatives and the Audit Bureau.
