Tripoli: The House of Representatives voted to fill vacant seats in the High National Elections Commission and approved an increase in the salaries of army personnel during its official session held today, Monday. The session focused on discussing various items on the agenda, resulting in significant decisions impacting the electoral body and the armed forces.
According to Libyan News Agency, Abdullah Blihaq, the official spokesperson for the House of Representatives, announced that the session included a decision to refer the High National Elections Commission's budget to the Planning, Finance, and General Budget Committee for review. This budget is scheduled to be presented to the House in its next session on Tuesday. Additionally, the House passed a draft law aimed at increasing the salaries of members of the armed forces.
Blihaq further explained that the session was adjourned and will continue on Tuesday to address the remaining items on the agenda, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all issues before the House.
