His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee today received Al Najma upon returning from Isfahan, in Iran after winning the Asian Handball Clubs Championship.
Bahraini Olympic Committee (BOC) today hosted an an official reception in honour of Asian champions in the Hall of Ceremonies at Bahrain International Airport.
The event was also attended by GSA Deputy Chairman HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, GSA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, Al Najma Club Chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, BOC Secretary-General Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, Bahrain Handball Association Chairman Ali Isa Ishaqi and other officials.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad received the Asian champions with flowers and conveyed to them greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Khalid congratulated the team which clinched the Asian trophy for the second time, after its maiden title in 2017, to book a berth in the world clubs championship (Super Globe).
He stressed the importance of stepping up preparations ahead of the World Clubs Championship to honour the Kingdom of Bahrain, reiterated support for the club.
