Tripoli-The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba on Monday made an inspection tour of the fish market of “Bab Bahr” in Tripoli flanked with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Marine Wealth, and the directors of the planning and projects departments of the ministry, to get a firsthand account of the conditions of the fish market and the problems facing the fishermen.
The Head of GNU Government listened to what a number of citizens in the fish market had to say as well as the remarks of the vendors in the market about the market activities.
At the end of the tour, Al-Dabaiba met president of the fishermen’s union and a number of union leaders to discuss problems experienced by fishermen, including and foremost the high prices of fuel and maintenance of fishing boats. The president instructed the Ministry of Marine Wealth to submit a proposal to address these problems and needs of fishermen.
