Benghazi: Osama Hammad, the Prime Minister-designate of the House of Representatives, conducted a field visit to Benghazi, where he monitored the general situation in the city amidst the severe weather affecting eastern Libya. During his tour, he inspected several vital sites and reviewed the progress of work at service facilities. He emphasized the government's commitment to monitoring the situation on the ground, addressing citizens' needs, and ensuring the continued provision of essential services under all circumstances.
According to Libyan News Agency, following the tour, Hammad met with Major General Faraj Qaim, head of the Emergency and Rapid Response Committee, and members of the emergency operations room. He reviewed field reports and the response plans implemented to address the impact of the weather conditions. Hammad stressed the need to raise the level of preparedness, enhance coordination among all relevant authorities, and monitor the implementation of preventive and precautionary measures to ensure the safety of citizens and protect public and private property. He also emphasized the importance of a rapid response to any emergency.
