Paris, 4 June 2017(Lana) The French Foreign Ministry Spokesman Roman Nadale on Friday said France was hoping that it would be able to re-open its embassy in Tripoli once the security situation improved, indicating that at the time being the embassy operates from Tunis. Nadale made the remarks in response to a question on a statement issued by the President of the Presidency Council in Libya in which he said France was considering re-opening its embassy in Libya. The Spokesman said Ambassador Brigitte Curmi was regularly carrying the Embassy mission in Libya. France closed its embassy in Tripoli in July 2014 and pulled out its staff after deterioration of the security situation. The President of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al Serraj Thursday said French President Emanuel Macron pledged to return the French mission to Tripoli as soon as possible. In a statement on Thursday the French Presidential office said Macron reiterated support for Al Serraj and stressed the need for the Libyan parties to resume talks to get the country out of its crisis and combat terrorism. =Lana= =Lana=
