Tripoli: The Foreign Ministry of the Government of National Unity has expressed its approval of the recently announced peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, highlighting a significant diplomatic development in the region.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement on Saturday, expressing hope that the agreement will usher in a new era of cooperation and understanding between the two nations. The Ministry emphasized the potential for the agreement to solidify security and stability, benefiting both Armenian and Azerbaijani people and contributing to peace in the South Caucasus region.

The Ministry also acknowledged the efforts of the US administration in brokering this agreement, appreciating its role in promoting global security and stability. It underscored the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue and peaceful means. The peace agreement was signed on Friday at the White House, with US President Donald Trump describing it as a historic achievement.
