Tripoli: The joint technical committee between the Ministry of Local Government of the Government of National Unity and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) held its inaugural meeting to discuss cooperative programs and projects aimed at supporting municipalities.
According to Libyan News Agency, representatives from several relevant departments within the Ministry participated in the meeting. The 1415 Local Contact Center and a representative from the Municipal Development Center were also present. The meeting focused on introducing committee members and their roles, alongside discussions on proposals for programs and training designed to support municipalities and improve the skills of municipal staff and Ministry employees.
Participants highlighted the significance of strengthening collaborative efforts between the Ministry and the ICRC, as well as the importance of expanding cooperation. The meeting concluded with plans for further discussions on the proposed training programs and their implementation mechanisms.
