Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed today in Ankara with the head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, enhancing bilateral cooperation between Libya and Turkey in various fields.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office reported that the meeting covered a number of issues of common interest, regional and international developments, and ways to enhance economic, trade, security, and military relations. These discussions aim to support regional stability and enhance common security.
The leaders also addressed developments in the situation in Libya and the ongoing efforts by the Libyan government to achieve stability and comprehensive development. President Erdogan affirmed his country’s continued support for these efforts, emphasizing the importance of bilateral cooperation to face regional and international challenges.
The office quoted Dabaiba highlighting the significance of this visit in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. He expressed the government’s deep appreciation for the support provided by Turkey, particularly in political and economic fields, and noted that bilateral cooperation will be essential to achieving sustainable development in Libya.
Al-Dabaiba was accompanied on this official visit by the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi.
