Tripoli: The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) has officially approved the final results of the municipal council elections for the third group, covering eight municipalities. The municipalities included in this group are Benghazi, Qaminis, Al-Abyar, Tukrah, Suluq, Qasr al-Jedi, Sirte, and Sabha. This approval comes after the successful completion of all legal and technical phases involved in the electoral process.
According to Libyan News Agency, the HNEC Board issued Decision No. (5), which notably excluded the final results of the Tobruk Municipal Council elections. The exclusion is due to the appeals process for Tobruk being incomplete. The outcomes of these appeals are anticipated to be announced in the following week.
