Manila: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty met with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Callas, to discuss developments in Libya. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting in Manila, Philippines. According to Libyan News Agency, both sides emphasized the importance of supporting efforts geared towards achieving security and stability in Libya, while preserving its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The discussions also covered several regional issues of mutual interest, particularly the developments in Sudan and Syria. The meeting was part of the regular consultations between Egypt and the European Union on regional developments, underscoring their comprehensive strategic partnership and commitment to coordinating positions on issues impacting regional security and stability. The European official commended Egypt's role in supporting regional de-escalation efforts and expressed her desire to continue coor dination and consultation with Cairo in the future. This collaboration aims to enhance cooperation within the framework of the existing partnership between the European Union and Egypt.
