Tripoli: The second day of the Libya Experts Forum, held from August 23 to 25 in Tripoli, featured pivotal dialogue sessions addressing challenges in the health sector, chronic problems within Libya's economic structure, as well as digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

According to Libyan News Agency, the health sector session included the participation of key figures such as the Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, Minister of Health, Mohammed Al-Ghoj, and Undersecretary of the Ministry Saad Al-Din Abdul-Wakil, alongside experts and specialists in medical and health affairs. The discussions focused on the current state of the health sector in Libya, exploring ways to enhance healthcare services, tackle the challenges faced by medical personnel, and leverage national expertise for sector development.

The forum's in-depth discussions presented practical proposals and solutions, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts and the utilization of Libyan professionals' expertise globally. It stressed the importance of fostering dialogue and consultation among specialists to develop actionable strategies for the advancement of Libya's health sector.

Additionally, a session titled 'The Economic Dimension: Chronic Problems in the Structure of the Libyan Economy' was conducted, involving experts, Ministry of Economy and Trade officials, and representatives from relevant government bodies. This session examined the deep-seated issues affecting Libya's economic stability and development, proposing strategies for addressing structural imbalances, diversifying income sources, and improving economic efficiency.

The forum's activities also included a session on digital transformation and artificial intelligence, featuring Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation Ali Al-Abed and Minister of State for Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence Affairs Ziad Al-Hajjaji. Discussions centered on the development of a national internet network, the future of robotics and artificial intelligence in Libya, and the role of these technologies in accelerating national transformation and enhancing institutional performance.

These discussions form part of the forum's initiative to engage in specialized dialogues that connect Libyan professional expertise with practical applications across various sectors.
