Tripoli: Continuing the efforts of the security authorities to regulate the status of migrants and reduce irregular migration, 174 Bangladeshi irregular migrants were deported yesterday morning. The deportation operation was carried out under the direct supervision and follow-up of the Head of the Shelter Center and members of the branch, in cooperation and coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), after all necessary legal and administrative procedures had been completed before the voluntary return was implemented. According to Libyan News Agency, the deportees departed through Benina International Airport, with on-site monitoring by the Office for Combating Illegal Migration at the airport to ensure that the procedures were carried out in accordance with applicable legal and humanitarian standards. This step is part of the agency's plan to enhance security and stability and address irregular migration in accordance with applicable laws and legislation, in coordination with relev ant local and international authorities.
