Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, directed the Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs to ensure that all preachers and imams in mosques adhere to a religious discourse that focuses on disseminating the teachings of Islam based on moderation and balance, promoting unity and national reconciliation, rejecting hatred and division, and calling for reform through wisdom and good counsel.
According to Libyan News Agency, the directives emphasized avoiding political and partisan disputes, refraining from discussing crises before official statements are issued by the relevant authorities, and not exploiting pulpits to express personal opinions or promote private agendas. The directives also mandate taking the necessary steps to disseminate them and monitor compliance in all mosques.
