Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, met with the Minister of Justice, Halima Ibrahim, to discuss the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the rule of law, support justice, and uphold human rights in Libya.
According to Libyan News Agency, Dbaiba emphasized during the meeting the necessity of implementing clear and coordinated measures to back the government’s plan for establishing security through legal means. He addressed the importance of tackling challenges related to human rights violations and highlighted the need to activate judicial institutions to ensure justice and protect public rights and freedoms.
The Minister of Justice, Halima Ibrahim, presented updates on the ministry’s work, including progress in judicial reform, enhancing transparency and accountability, and efforts to document legal and human rights violations. These initiatives are being carried out in coordination with relevant authorities to strengthen the overall legal framework in the country.
