Tripoli: Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba has emphasized the government’s backing for the Ministry of Interior and its initiatives to enforce security and bolster stability across the nation.
According to Libyan News Agency, this commitment was reiterated during a meeting on Wednesday with Acting Interior Minister Major General Emad Al-Trabulsi, attended by Acting Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister’s Financial Advisor, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi. The meeting concentrated on the Ministry of Interior’s strategies for securing fuel supplies and enhancing security measures, alongside an evaluation of ongoing projects within executive bodies and the Ministry’s pressing needs.
Discussions during the meeting also covered plans to secure fuel stations and combat fuel smuggling, as well as deliberations on security deployments within Tripoli. Support for police units to improve their readiness was also a topic of focus.
The government’s media office reported that the meeting addressed recent developments in illegal immigration, highlighting the efforts to apprehend and deport irregular migrants in line with legal processes and in collaboration with international organizations.
