Aboul Gheit Receives Official Invitation to Visit Tripoli

Cairo: The Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs has extended an invitation to Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit from the Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, to visit Tripoli. This invitation underscores Libya’s intent to bolster its communication with the League and maintain coordination on shared Arab issues.

According to Libyan News Agency, the invitation was presented during a meeting on Wednesday between Aboul Gheit and Minister Walid Al-Lafi. This encounter took place on the sidelines of the Arab Information Ministers Council meetings at the League’s headquarters in Cairo. During the meeting, Minister Al-Lafi conveyed the Prime Minister’s greetings to the Secretary-General and expressed Libya’s appreciation for the Arab League’s role in supporting joint Arab initiatives, as well as for Aboul Gheit’s contributions to political and media matters.

The Secretary-General responded positively to the invitation, expressing the General Secretariat’s interest in monitoring developments in Libya and supporting its efforts to achieve stability and strengthen its role within the Arab community.
