Dabaiba Forms Committee to Separate Civilian and Military Operations at Mitiga

Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, has approved the formation of a special committee tasked with separating the civilian operations at Mitiga Airport from the military base located in the same area. This decision aims to streamline operations and enhance the functioning of both facilities.

According to Libyan News Agency, the committee is headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Air Transport Affairs. The committee has been charged with completing its tasks as outlined in Resolution No. 400 of 2025. These tasks include ensuring a clear demarcation between civilian and military operations at the site.

The committee is expected to fulfill its mandate within a week, following the issuance of the resolution. Upon completion, the committee is required to submit a comprehensive report detailing its findings and recommendations to Prime Minister Dabaiba for approval.
