Tripoli: Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, is actively engaging with leaders of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to enhance and sustain production operations. Dbeibah emphasized that the oil sector remains a fundamental pillar of Libya’s national economy and stressed the need for continuous commitment from all stakeholders to maintain and improve production levels.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions took place during a meeting in Tripoli, where Dbeibah interacted with NOC leaders and several department directors. The focus was on the corporation’s ongoing operations and its strategies to boost and sustain production. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of strategic efforts by the NOC, including collaboration with international partners to enhance production and ensure its long-term sustainability.
The meeting also highlighted the NOC’s initiatives to improve governance and implement transparency standards across its operations, aiming to ensure efficiency and accountability. Dbeibah listened to observations from the Audit Bureau, reinforcing the importance of effective oversight and monitoring of the corporation’s activities.
Among the attendees were Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi; Head of the Executive Team for Presidential Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Manea; Audit Bureau representative, Abdulbasit Jarbua; and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, Suhail Abu Shiha.
