Tripoli: In a recent televised interview with The Libya Al-Ahrar Channel, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba expressed the government’s unwavering commitment to completing its security operation aimed at “extending state authority.” Dabaiba emphasized the critical need for reclaiming control over key infrastructures such as airports, ports, and prisons.

According to Libyan News Agency, Dabaiba outlined the government’s security plan, which includes the dismantling of militias and armed formations. He asserted that the policy is to ensure all ports, airports, and crossings are under the jurisdiction of the state’s regular agencies. The Prime Minister also revealed that the government has successfully thwarted arms supplies from other countries intended for militias.

Dabaiba stressed that no one desires war, but clarified the conditions necessary for maintaining peace: imposing state authority, handing over wanted individuals to the Public Prosecutor, and dissolving militias. He firmly stated that those who r
eject these conditions may face uncertain consequences.
