Malta: The Criminal Research and Training Center at the Attorney General’s Office recently organized a workshop focused on “Digital Evidence in Combating Terrorism” for members of the Public Prosecution in Malta. This event was part of the training plan for the judicial year 2024-2025.
According to Libyan News Agency, 14 members of the Public Prosecution Authority participated in the workshop. The event was conducted within the framework of enhancing the judicial response to cybercrimes, terrorism, and organized crimes that cross national borders.
The workshop participants explored the process of handling digital evidence. This included steps from the collection and preservation of evidence, through verifying its authenticity, to ensuring its integrity and admissibility in judicial proceedings. Additionally, the workshop addressed the exchange of digital evidence within the scope of international cooperation, taking into account data protection regulations.
