Tripoli: The Chadian embassy in Libya has announced the deportation of 148 Chadian citizens to N’Djamena via Misrata International Airport. This initiative marks a significant step in addressing the needs of Chadian nationals residing in Libya.
According to Libyan News Agency, the embassy detailed that the voluntary repatriation involved transporting citizens from Bani Walid to N’Djamena on a special flight. This operation was successfully conducted through a collaborative effort with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and in close coordination with relevant Libyan authorities.
The embassy expressed appreciation for the cooperation of the Libyan authorities and international partners. It emphasized the importance of continued coordination to maintain these humanitarian initiatives, ensuring the safe and dignified return of citizens requiring assistance.
