Berndt: The UN Special Representative for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, met today in Tripoli with the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt:
According to Libyan News Agency, Berndt expressed his sincere thanks to the Special Representative for her hospitality in a tweet posted by the US Embassy on its X platform. He emphasized the continued cooperation between the United States and the United Nations in supporting Libyan efforts to overcome narrow-minded tendencies and strengthen national unity.
The Charg© d’Affaires explained that their discussions focused on the importance of the roadmap being implemented by Tetteh. He called on all candidates and those active in the Libyan political arena to support and facilitate the UN’s efforts. Furthermore, he urged them to participate constructively in the process of holding new Libyan elections.
