Benghazi: Benghazi Municipality signed a partnership agreement today with Ochsner University in the United States. The agreement aims to collaborate on finding practical and sustainable solutions to health and environmental challenges, contributing to the municipality's efforts within its available resources and authority.

According to Libyan News Agency, the signing ceremony included a specialized scientific seminar focused on water pollution and its link to increased rates of kidney disease, as well as its direct impact on public health. The seminar also reviewed the findings of a joint US-Libyan study conducted to identify the underlying causes of the rising rates of kidney disease and dialysis cases. The study highlighted the potential effects of water source pollution and its direct impact on public health.

The Benghazi Municipality affirmed its commitment to supporting scientific and medical efforts aimed at addressing health and environmental issues affecting citizens' lives, emphasizing the importance of strengthening local and international cooperation in this field.
