Benghazi: A dangerous drug dealer has been arrested in Benghazi following a strategic operation by the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Agency. The arrest took place in the 20th Street area of the city, where agents successfully executed a tight ambush.
According to Libyan News Agency, the agents confiscated 18 bottles, each containing 1.5 liters of suspected local alcoholic beverages, from the accused, who is a former offender. Additionally, they seized five large pieces of hashish, estimated to weigh half a kilogram, and six 20-liter gallons of liquor.
The agency stated that the detainee had been wanted by the Anti-Narcotics Agency, identifying him as the source of substances previously seized by the agency’s branch in Benghazi. The agency revealed that the competent authorities have launched an investigation to determine the origin of the seized items.
