Tripoli: Belqasim Haftar, the Director General of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to explore ways to enhance the involvement of Turkish companies in Libya's reconstruction efforts.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on expanding joint cooperation areas and integrating Turkish expertise into development projects supervised by the Fund across multiple Libyan cities. The discussions highlighted the potential for Turkish companies to contribute significantly to the reconstruction and development landscape in Libya, aligning with the Fund's strategy to build robust international partnerships.
The talks also centered around strategies to broaden the participation of specialized Turkish firms in the ongoing reconstruction and development initiatives. This collaboration aims to leverage specialized expertise and competencies to bolster Libya's development and reconstruction endeavors. After the discussions, Belqasim Haftar, along with the Turkish Foreign Minister and his delegation, visited the tomb of the martyr Omar al-Mukhtar, concluding the visit at Benina International Airport.
