Bahrain to dispatch first relief aid consignment to Morocco this week, RHF Chief

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) is set to dispatch the first relief-aid consignment to quake-hit Moroccans.



His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa had directed to dispatch urgent humanitarian relief aid to the Kingdom of Morocco to help alleviate their suffering in the aftermath of the earthquake that hit several regions in the Kingdom of Morocco.



RHF Secretary-General Dr. Mustapha Al Sayyed hailed the support of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the follow-up of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.



He announced that the first humanitarian relief aid would be dispatched as soon as possible this week, stressing coordination with competent authorities in the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as the Foreign Ministry to reach the quake-hit victims.



He commended the initiative of the BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa regarding cooperation with the Royal Humanitaria Foundation, by providing all necessary logistic assistance.



“Al necessary arrangements are being made to dispatch urgent humanitarian relief aid in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and other competent authorities”, he said.



He noted that the foundation, led by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will spare no efforts to support quake-affected people and help alleviate their suffering.



He pointed out that urgent humanitarian relief aid would first be dispatched as per Moroccans’ needs. He indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain would continue support, based on developments and the needs in infrastructure which was badly hit.
