Attorney General meets the National Security Council Adviser

Tripoli, The Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour met Ibrahim Abushnaf, the National Security Council Adviser.

During the meeting, they discussed the current developments related to the Libyan national security file, including threats arising from lack of coordination between the organs of the Libyan National Security Agency, concerned with safeguarding homeland security, as well as practicing activities in a dis-organized manner, which often led to gaps in the implementation of practical plans and in-effective meeting of emergency needs.

Importance of the role of the National Security Council in enhancing the state’s capabilities in facing source of threats to national security and consolidating joint work between agencies and institutions through developing the state’s strategy related to internal and external security, in the fields of defense and foreign policy were also discussed.

During the meeting, the Attorney General stressed that results of the work of the Public Prosecution Service are related to national security, as these data contain information related threats to state security from the inside and outside. It is preparing to work to strengthen the work of the National Security Council in order to achieve the purpose of its establishment, he said.
