Tripoli: A number of illegal immigrants who entered Libyan territory via the southern borders were apprehended. The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency announced the arrest of these individuals, who had entered Libya through the country's southern border.
According to Libyan News Agency, the agency issued a statement today explaining that all legal procedures were followed with the detained individuals, and they were transferred to detention centers. This move is in preparation for their deportation to their countries of origin, in line with applicable laws and regulations.
The agency highlighted that this operation is part of its ongoing efforts to secure the borders and address the issue of illegal immigration. This initiative is conducted in full coordination with the Libyan Arab Armed Forces and is part of security operations aimed at combating smuggling and illegal infiltration into Libyan territory.
