The Seismic Monitoring Department at the Ministry of Transport announced an earthquake in Sinjar District in Nineveh Governorate. The Ministry said in a statement: The earthquake was recorded at exactly 3:45:10 pm local time and its magnitude reached (2.2) degrees north of Sinjar district in Nineveh Governorate. It added that it was not proven that it was felt by citizens and no material or human losses were reported. The Authority called on citizens to take caution and stay away from rumors and false news and adhere to the seismic recommendations issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring.
